The Blue Planet Sound was formed in the late 90's in Barcelona where Sam & PK found themselves living after a 10 year long musical odyssey.

    The city, itself a huge cultural melting pot with musicians from all over the globe, inspired in the duo a new kind of sound, both retro & modern, with influences from Brazilian bossa to California soul & from 60's film soundtracks to Japanese easy-listening.

     In 1998 they returned to England to set up their own mobile recording studio 'the Planetarium' and made their first CD album 'Make lemonade', which was to set the tone for a series of Blue Planet Sound albums over the coming years.

    Since this time the duo have been playing live throughout Europe and Asia, captivating audiences everywhere with their easy relaxing sound.

    Today, Sam & PK live in the area where France, Germany & Switzerland  meet - performing often in Basel, Freiburg in Breisgau, Zürich, Bern & Strasbourg - playing bossa nova in bars and clubs, at private & corporate events, dj-ing regularly with their funky, latin sound & making semi-electronic music with their lounge project James Beige.
